What is the Women's Club of Hollister?
Women's Club of Hollister is a local philanthropic, service and social club that raises money and supports local charity organizations and non-profits. Our club is dedicated to giving back to the community with financial support and volunteer assistance to other non-profits. We are passionate about making a difference in the lives of those in need and strive to create a better world for all. Thank you for visiting our website, and we invite you to learn more about our organization and how you can get involved!
Since its founding in 1913, The Women's Club of Hollister has provided an opportunity for club members to be leaders in their community. Whether working side-by-side on committees, volunteering at local non-profit events, or attending District or State conventions, we embody the spirit of our founder, Jenny June Croly, who asked only that we "bring our best to the front." We are a member of the Loma Prieta District-Area A, the California Federation of Women's Clubs, and the General Federation of Women's Clubs, one of the largest and oldest international women's organizations, founded in 1890.
GFWC is one of the largest women's organizations in the world with clubs in forty-five countries. In the United States and Puerto Rico alone there are nearly 586,000 members in 12,500 clubs.
